First Shabbat of Fall 2017 semester!

We had an amazing first Shabbat at Rutgers Chabad. The preparations began on Thursday night with a fun filled set up by our dedicated student volunteers – a BIG thanks to all who pitched in! We welcomed in Shabbat on Friday night with candle lighting and a beautiful kabbalat shabbat filled with singing. The night continued with our “BIG Welcome Shabbat Dinner Party at Chabad.” We welcomed hundreds of new and returning students. Rabbi Baruch Goodmanenlightened us with a dvar Torah; Nicole Heather Collins, our president, gave a warm welcome speech; and L’chaim’s were shared by various other students. To top it all off, there was delicious food and amazing company! On Shabbat day, we enjoyed a nice Shabbat meal together with many students joining the feast. Shabbat ended with a lively Havdalah and exciting dancing. It was a Shabbat to remember! Come join us this Shabbat for another amazing experience!
